TAOS uses the CQL Personal Outcome Measures to ensure that supports and services are
truly person-centered in the areas such as health, safety, employment, rights, goals, dreams
and more. TAOS strongly advocates to focus on the person instead of traditional program
standards. With this mindset, TAOS has not only become a respected and responsible
provider of quality programs and/or services to persons locally or State-wide, but has
become respected as a viable resource for regional case management agencies or for
placement referrals.
TAOS also ventured into community involvement and projects for a few years partnering
with various agencies. The goal of the partnerships were to build sustainable communities
to benefit the people, home improvement for the elderly and disabled and programs for at-
risk youth to obtain a GED and receive job training. Although, the projects had successful
outcomes, TAOS has restructured to focus on its Intellectual / Developmental Disabilities
Program.
